Rice Planet Sprouted Brown Rice Review

Rice Planet Sprouted Brown Rice
Planet Rice makes two varieties of non GMO sprouted rice, sprouted brown rice, and lightly milled sprouted brown rice. What's sprouted rice you might ask? Think of it this way: rice and grains are basically un-germinated seeds. Sprouting is when you start to germinate a seed, a.k.a. it starts growing into a plant. Planet Rice stops this process just before anything actually starts growing.
Why oh why bother you ask? There's the secret. This process helps release all these extra good-for-you things! By starting the germinating process, it's activating things in the seed to get ready to feed a plant.
This makes the rice have 4X Vitamin B, 5X Fiber, 7X Magnesium, and 3x GABA of normal brown rice! (Learn about GABA and why it's good for you.
It's like super powered rice! Enough with the science project part, lets talk about how amazing it tastes, AND how easy it is to make. I always order brown rice out at restaurants, but I always thought it was too laborious and a pain to make at home.

Man, was I wrong! This rice couldn't be easier to make. Use two cups of rice to three cups of cold water.Bring water to a full hard-boil and add the rice, stir, reduce heat to low and simmer covered for 30 minutes. Do not lift the lid during cooking process. Open lid, fluff rice and enjoy! The end. Really!
Want the health benefits but not into brown rice, I suggest giving the lightly milled variety a try. My husband said it tasted like white rice. I wouldn't go that far, but I do agree it has a much milder taste, making it the perfect variety for a brown rice newbie.
Pros:
  • Gluten Free
  • Whole Grain
  • Non-GMO
  • Extra nutritional benefits
  • Easy/fast to cook
  • Delicious
Cons:
  • Won't totally fool a white rice only eater
