I admit, I'm a sucker for a no-bake treat. Anything that sets in the fridge is usually a winner in my book! Only a few ingredients? Even better!
This recipe gets points on all fronts. It even has a secret ingredient that will stump anyone who takes a bite. Take a look, can you guess what it is?
Keep reading for the recipe…
The surprise ingredient is: Dried Plums!
Yes, you might also know them as "prunes." Don't they just sound so much more fun and appetizing when you just call them by a different name?
You only need a handful of ingredients to make these bars. A bit of butter, Hershey's chocolate, graham crackers and dried plums. The chocolate and butter are melted, then crushed graham crackers and chopped dried plums are stirred into the mixture. Press into a pan and then refrigerate until set. That's it! When I first took a bite, I thought it tasted like chocolate covered raisins!
By the way, do you happen to have a favorite Brownie or Bar recipe?
We have a contest during the month of October that has your name on it! The contest is open to both bloggers and non-bloggers alike. The winner will receive $1,000 and a feature in an upcoming magazine issue. What a great way to see your recipe (and yourself!) in print!
