Prizes!
Every month there are two winners: $1,000 for the judge's top pick and $1,000 for the recipe with the most votes. The Judge's choice winner will also receive a full 1-page spread in a BHG publication!
Grand Prize: The grand prize, selected from the monthly Judge's choice winners, is $5,000 and a trip to the BHG test kitchen in Des Moines!
Check out this test kitchen! One lucky grand prize winner will be flown to the BHG headquarters in Des Moines and receive an exclusive tour of the facility. This winner will get an inside view of everything that goes on behind the scenes! This is a priceless opportunity!
And don't forget about that full, 1-page magazine spread for each of our monthly winners. Two winners from our contests last year have already been featured in a magazine!
Your recipe and your blog could be featured next! It's always such an honor to see your creations in print. Plus, it is a great way to build your culinary resume!
Here is what some of our past winners had to say about the Better Recipes contests:
I always recommend other bloggers to get their recipes out there whenever possible. Plus it's really, really exciting to get an email from BHG saying that your recipe won! I will definitely enter again. -Leah Bergman from Freutcake
I think it validates a blogger's recipes, and adds to one's culinary resume! -Christina from Christina's Cucina
I thought, "why not? I have nothing to lose!" -Vanessa Ochotorena of Sweet-Lab
It's a great way to re-purpose your old content, get new readers, and maybe win some money! -Elizabeth LaBau of SugarHero
It is so much fun and a great way to share your recipes and site with a whole new crowd of people that might not find you otherwise. I noticed a huge growth in my social media followers, especially on Twitter. -Jessi Andricks from The House Of Healthy
After five years of writing my blog In Erika's Kitchen, I've got hundreds of delicious recipes that have been tested, proofread, and photographed. Entering contests like this is a great way to dust off some of the recipes I haven't looked at in a while and give them a fresh new look. -Erika Kerekes of In Erika's Kitchen
