Hawaiian Chicken Salad Sliders

It's the last Monday in August and for many of us that means back to school or back to work!  Summer vacations have come to a close and it's time to get back into a weekday routine.

If you are looking for a new twist on a sandwich for your brown bag lunch, this is it!  Don't just make lunch. Make Lunch Fun.

This recipe is a twist on a classic lunchtime standby, chicken salad.  With fresh Hawaiian flavors, it is sure to bring a little taste of your summer vacation into your lunch hour.

These "Hawaiian Chicken Salad Sliders" are the ideal combination of sweet and heat.  In the chicken salad you will find crushed pineapple as well as a little (or a lot!) of sriracha hot sauce.  Plus, I threw in some chopped macadamia nuts for crunch.  It's all sandwiched inside classic King's Hawaiian Original Sweet Dinner Rolls, which I think make the perfect slider size bun.  Want a larger sandwich?  Try serving it on King's Hawaiian Original Sweet Hamburger Buns!

When packing this recipe for lunch, I like to slice the rolls so they are ready to go, and pack the prepared Hawaiian chicken salad in a small container.  Then simply assemble your sliders and lunch is served!
