recently i got a packet of strawberries from mahabaleshwar. mahabaleshwar is famous for its scenic beauty as well as for its strawberries. the quickest and easiest way for me to use them was this strawberry milkshake. thats why this post. i was planning to make strawberry panna cotta, but ended up making the milkshake.
since strawberries are in season, so apart from this milkshake, you can also make few more strawberries recipes like strawberry jam, strawberry cream cake, chocolate covered strawberries, strawberry falooda and strawberry shortcake recipe.
if you get sweet strawberries then its best as we don't need to add any sugar. otherwise add sugar as required. you can serve the milkshake plain or add a scoop of vanilla ice cream or strawberry ice cream and have a strawberry ice cream shake.
lets start step by step strawberry milkshake recipe:
1. first rinse the strawberries and then drain them. 250 grams strawberries or about 22 to 25 small to medium strawberries.
2. slice off the green leafy part from all the strawberries. this is also called as hulling the strawberries. then chop the strawberries.
3. add the chopped strawberries to a blender jar.
4. add 2 cups chilled milk. you can also add about 2.5 cups of chilled milk.
5. add sugar as required. if the strawberries are very sweet, then you don't need to add any sugar. i added 3 tbsp sugar.
6. blend the milkshake till smooth.
7. pour in tall glasses and serve strawberry milkshake immediately. you can also add a scoop of vanilla ice cream or strawberry ice cream and have a strawberry ice cream shake.

INGREDIENTS (measuring cup used, 1 cup = 250 ml)
- 250 grams strawberries 22 to 25 small to medium strawberries
- 2 cups chilled milk, 500 ml, you can also add 2.5 cups milk
- 3 to 4 tbsp sugar or add as required (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS
