Chocolate Strawberry Milkshakes

Chocolate Strawberry Milkshakes Photo

I have decided that I don't have nearly enough milkshakes in my life.

They are honestly the world's simplest and most delicious dessert. And have you seen how much ice cream you can pack into one of those suckers?

I'm fairly certain that milkshake calories are part of some strange time/space continuum where reality is altered. You basically get four scoops of ice cream for the calorie price of two. I believe this to be true and I will not be convinced otherwise.

My kiddos have their Valentine's Day parties this week at school. I remember the  Valentine class parties  of my childhood to be anxious affairs, fraught with emotion and overthinking.

Did he give me an Optimus Prime card that said "BE MINE" because he REALLY wants me to be his? Or was he just being polite?

Forget reading tea leaves – by the time I graduated sixth grade, I was well versed in the art of reading meaning into mass produced Valentine's Day cards with cartoon characters on them.

Remembering the disappointment of my dream of having a secret admirer never coming to fruition, I'm always sure to have a special treat waiting for my kiddos when they come home from school on Valentine's Day.

I honestly blame The Babysitter's Club. Claudia Kishi and Stacy McGill set me up for impossible standards.

Waist length black hair, almond shaped eyes, impeccable style and sought after by all the boys in school certainly seemed like a reasonable goal at the time.

In hindsight, I was more of a Mary Anne.

These sweet, frothy shakes are the perfect way to say "I love you" to kids and adults alike. The pink milkshake streaked with fudge is gorgeous and festive.

Top with a chocolate covered strawberry and you've got a Valentine that no one will forget!

I hope these make your day extra sweet. Enjoy!
