Kung Pao Chicken Meatballs

Kung Pao Chicken Meatballs Recipe

Ingredients

For the Meatballs:
  • 1 pound Ground Chicken
  • 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce, divided
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh Ginger, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper
For the Sauce:
  • 3 tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • 3 tablespoons Chicken Broth
  • 2 tablespoons Brown Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch, mixed with 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 tablespoon Chili Garlic Paste
  • 1 tablespoon Rice Wine Vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame Seeds, for topping

Directions

  1. In a bowl mix together all of the ingredients for the meatballs.  Roll into 1 inch balls and place on a baking sheet.  Bake for 10-15 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  2. Meanwhile in a small sauce pan whisk together all of the ingredients for the sauce.  Bring to a boil and then simmer for 4-5 minutes until thickened.
  3. Once meatballs are cooked, toss in the sauce.  Garnish with sesame seeds to serve.
