Best Brownie Recipe Ever – Ombre Brownies

Last week we went in search of the "Best Brownie Recipe Ever."  Our readers submitted everything from the decadent to the divine!  In the end, one incredibly creative recipe came out on top.  Congratulations to our winner, "mamagirl!"

The inspiration behind her unique, award-winning creation has a great story:

"My daughter is in cosmetology school, and one of the current hottest trends in hair color is what is called 'ombre' highlights which start out dark at the roots, then gradually gets lighter until the ends are blonde. I created this fun brownie recipe just for her, based on that technique. At the top of my brownies, I have a dark chocolate ganache frosting. Then the second layer is a lighter milk chocolate brownie layer. On the bottom, there is a "blonde" layer which is a classic blondie, a cousin of the brownie. These were a big hit at my house and is now my daughter's signature dessert."

Keep reading for the recipe!

One of the best things about this recipe, is that there is something for everyone.  If you like blondies, milk chocolate or dark chocolate, it's all right there!

I appreciated that it was easy to prepare and cut like a dream.  These brownies are fun to make and begging to be shared!  Whip up a batch and share the "Best Brownie Ever" with a friend this weekend.

Can't wait to try these "Ombre Brownies" for yourself?
