The first time I visited the Caribbean I spent the whole day (we were on a cruise) lounging on the beach. I made my way through mobs of people trying to sell me t-shirts and headed straight for the beach. I happened to be traveling with a group of friends and we quickly found a small beach, rented some chairs and prepared to sun ourselves. After 20 minutes we realized this day was not going to be complete without a few drinks. We called our waiter over and asked for something "tropical and fun!" They brought us a Caribbean Painkiller. Oh. My. Not only is it tropical and delicious, but also it's dangerous. A few of these go down fast and you quickly start to understand where they got the name. If you are looking to include the kids you can always leave out the rum. It would still be tasty and tropical. Brandy is a genius when it comes to tropical cocktails.
