Now that my big cross-country move is complete, we have some catching up to do! I think it's about time we announced the winner in our "Best Appetizer Recipe Ever" contest. (Stay tuned, because tomorrow we will announce the "Best Crisp or Cobbler Ever" winner!)
Congratulations to "RoxieChan" for her Sweet and Spicy Seed and Nut Clusters!
Keep reading for the winning recipe…
This is a no-fuss recipe with an air of sophistication. All you have to do is combine a spice blend of chili powder, cumin, coriander, and red pepper with a sweet hint of honey. Heat on the stovetop and toss with pumpkin seeds and slivered almonds. Then, simply spread out the mixture on a baking sheet and allow to cool. Break into pieces and you are done!
The results are absolutely addictive…
I can imagine these appetizer clusters in a bowl at a party and guests constantly coming back for more by the handful. The clusters also just happen to taste divine with a glass of champagne. Like all great party fare, this recipe can be prepared in advance and is ready to go for a get-together at a moments notice.
You know you want to make these "Sweet and Spicy Seed and Nut Clusters."
