It was many years ago that a family member introduced me to the delicious taste of Seasoned Pretzels. As soon as I had one, I was immediately hooked. I could not get enough of these!
The flavor is baked right in and gives them such a nice boost from simply a salty shell. When I went gluten-free, it was a hard switch when it came to snack food. Thankfully though, it's simple to find gluten-free pretzels these days. That means these seasoned pretzels show up at most of our parties, especially game day parties.
From football to basketball, they are the perfect snack. Sometimes I pair them with my favorite dip or simply eat them as is. I have noticed over the years, it's important to tell friends that they are seasoned; otherwise they would pass them by on the snack table as plain ol' pretzels. Oh, but they aren't plain at all!
I whipped up a batch at a recent party and guests could not stay out of them, along with my kids. I don't even want to know how many my daughter ate, although it's a safe bet that she ate enough to not want dinner at all.
I use a variety of seasonings to make these, then simply bake them in the oven and bake that delicious flavor right into the pretzels. They are both salty and zesty. It's a wonderful salty snack to add to your game day spread.
What types of foods do you like to serve for game day?
We love adding these to our table along with meatballs, veggies, fruit dips, and desserts. LOTS of desserts!
Now, it's time to make these delicious pretzels and maybe tell your friends they are seasoned. Of course, you may not want to because you will likely want them all to yourself!
Enjoy!
Gluten Free Seasoned Pretzels Recipe
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon lemon pepper
- 1 teaspoon dill
- 1 dry ranch seasoning mix
- 1 pound bag gluten free pretzels
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Add the oil, spices, and ranch packet into a large Ziploc bag.
- Next, pour the pretzels into the bag.
- Zip it closed and shake to mix it. Let it sit a few minutes.
- Mix it again after it sits a few minutes.
- Spray a cookie sheet with non-stick spray, and then carefully pour the pretzels onto the sheet. It's important not to layer the pretzels on top of each other at this point.
- Bake in the oven for 5-10 minutes until warm and crispy.
- Serve.
Notes
- I prefer Snyder's Gluten-Free Pretzels for these, as they are typically always intact and never crushed or broken.
