I have used milk (dairy and non-dairy), yogurt, kefir, coconut water, tea, and juice. I am sure there are more options out there. What do you like to use as the base of your smoothies? 2) Fruit and Veggies - This is where you can pack your smoothie with flavor and nutrition! When it comes to the fruit and veggies in a smoothie, you can always turn to your favorites, but don't be scared to think outside the box. I love strawberries and bananas, but have experimented with kale, spinach, endive, radicchio and even carrot baby food for a smooth, pureed veggie addition! What's the craziest ingredient you have ever used in a smoothie? 3) Mix-ins – This is your chance to get creative, boost flavor and sneak in healthy additions. You can add a protein boost, healthy fats, seeds, nuts, herbs, spices, citrus, cocoa, espresso, and more.
