Cinnamon Apple Baked Oatmeal Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1/2 cup Honey
  • 1/4 cup Applesauce
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 2 cups Rolled Oats
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 3 teaspoons Cinnamon, divided
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 1/2 cups Chopped Apples
  • 1/4 cup Finely Chopped Walnuts
  • 1 tablespoon Granulated Sugar

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Spray a 8x8 pan with nonstick spray.
  2. Whisk together the milk, honey, applesauce, egg, and vanilla.
  3. Stir together the oats, baking powder, 2 teaspoons cinnamon, and salt. Add the wet ingredients and stir gently until combined.
  4. Stir in the apples and walnuts. Spread in the prepared pan.
  5. Stir together the sugar and remaining 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Sprinkle on top of the oatmeal. Bake for 45 minutes. Cut into 9 squares and serve immediately with honey and milk. Store leftover oatmeal in a covered container in the refrigerator. Heat each square for 15-20 seconds in the microwave, if desired.
